About Us

At Bonitas Winery, our family makes our wines in the classic “vigneron” style - hand crafted with grapes from our own vineyards atop the famous Okanagan silt cliffs located in Summerland, B.C. We believe these wines are genuine expressions of our vines and culture. Bonitas Family Estate Winery opened August 2008.

In celebration of family, business and the love of wine, Bonitas Winery was created, located in beautiful Summerland, B.C. Owned and operated by Lawrence Hopper and his two daughters, Chelsie and Teira, who have found their way onto the wine label itself!

Chances are pretty good that you haven’t had much of the wines from Bonitas Winery as they currently sell primarily to restaurants in Calgary and Vancouver. But hard to forget, the "beautiful daughters," Chelsie and Teira, are featured on the label. Chelsie owns her own company and lives in Edmonton and Teira is in art school in Calgary and loves to paint.

In the wine shop, you can preview Teira's art which is on display, as well as specialty gift baskets from Chelsie's company "Basketbelle."

Our Vineyard

Over the past decade our family has developed a incredible hacienda featuring our unique wine shop for eveyone to enjoy, where you can sample any of our wines at the tasting bar or on the terraza overlooking our spectacular view.
